Hi, I’m Karen your aged care leadership coach, mentor and educator!
As a registered nurse for over 30 years, that worked as a General Manager/Residential Manager in aged care, I know what it's like to feel in over your head. The pressure of meeting compliance checks and managing a team all while trying to keep your residents and their families happy... it's no wonder why so many of us end up burning out.
The problem is, that there’s a lack of support, coaching and mentoring that supports you to succeed when you step into that leadership role.
With organisations struggling with turnover higher than ever before, it has never been more important that we support and develop emerging, new and current leaders to manage the many challenges that leadership and aged care bring.
Realising that I was in the perfect place to fill this gap, I've dedicated my career to helping others who find themselves in similar circumstances. Whether it's coaching or mentoring individuals, or coming into facilities on a consulting level, I help aged care professionals discover their leadership style and gain back their confidence so they can truly be proud of what they do... after all, isn't that the reason we all stepped into our line of work?
